Day 1 Accommodation: Eagles Nest Your luxury tour of New Zealand begins with your arrival at Auckland International Airport. You will be met at the door of your aircraft by an Auckland Airport representative and escorted through customs and immigration, bypassing queues where possible. The Auckland Airport representative will bring you to the Directors of Ahipara Luxury Travel, and they will escort you immediately to your waiting helicopter, 200 metres away. A 60-minute scenic flight north to top-lodge Eagles Nest and your villa. On landing, settle into your luxurious lodgings, enjoy a massage and be treated to a gourmet barbecue in the privacy of your own villa. Northland is known for its Māori influence and its warmth. It is a land of beaches and islands. Day 2 Accommodation: Eagles Nest Spend the day cruising the beautiful Bay of Islands. Try your hand at fishing or snorkelling aboard your 19m luxury launch. Wandering among more than 100 beautiful islands in this maritime paradise. This is the first full day of your luxury tour of New Zealand. Simply cruise, or be more adventurous and target large gamefish offshore. Day 3 Accommodation: Greenhill - The Lodge After a relaxing breakfast, take your helicopter for the short hop to Kerikeri for one of the highlights of your luxury tour of New Zealand. There you will meet Hone Mihaka, Māori elder. He will welcome you and take you on his waka (canoe) for a re-enactment of the first contact between Māori and Europeans in this part of New Zealand. His people will give a passionate and thrilling welcome. After the welcome and a light Māori lunch, re-board your helicopter for a scenic coastal flight two hours south, overflying the geothermal areas of Rotorua for a scenic view and touching down at Greenhill Lodge. The lodge hosted Queen Elizabeth’s mother in 1958 and is a classic old lodge, which accommodates just 12 guests at a time. Day 4 Accommodation: Greenhill - The Lodge Spend a day in the Hawke’s Bay area sampling the wines and relaxing at your lodge. Your guide is an international wine marketing specialist who will give you an insight into not just the area and the wines of Hawke’s Bay, but also of New Zealand wine as a whole and its position in the international wine industry. Day 5 Accommodation: The Lodge at Paratiho Farms Continue your luxury tour of New Zealand and board your helicopter in the morning for a two-hour flight south to the Wairarapa where you will enjoy lunch at top-lodge, Wharekauhau. After lunch, reboard your helicopter for a scenic flight across the Cook Strait to the South Island. You will overfly the beautiful Marlborough Sounds and land at a secluded farm to transfer to your classic launch for an eco-cruise of the Sounds. After your cruise, reboard your helicopter and take a short flight to the luxury lodge, The Lodge at Paratiho Farms. Day 6 Accommodation: Grasmere Lodge After breakfast, fly 30 minutes to Kaikoura where you will transfer to a special whalewatching helicopter. After viewing the whales, reboard your regular helicopter for a one-hour flight to Grasmere Lodge, situated deep in the middle of the Southern Alps. Day 7 Accommodation: Grasmere Lodge Spend a day on a custom jetboat deep in the wilderness of the Southern Alps. These craft were originally designed in New Zealand to navigate the shallow reaches of high-country rivers. And this is exactly what you will be doing. Your guide is a perfect host and a gentleman. Try your hand at catching a fish for lunch or dinner. You are most likely to be completely alone on the river, except for some flocks of ducks and birds. Day 8 Accommodation: Punatapu After a leisurely breakfast, another highlight of your luxury tour of New Zealand... Board your helicopter for a spectacular helicopter flight down the West Coast of the South Island, past glaciers and Mount Cook and down into the remote and awesome beauty of Fjordland before coming back to land at Punatapu in Queenstown. Lunch will be a picnic served on a remote mountaintop. In the morning you will hike glaciers with experienced guides. Punatapu is a delightful private lodge in Queenstown with superb cuisine and a very relaxed atmosphere. Day 9 Accommodation: Punatapu Rachet up the action, your luxury tour of New Zealand takes on a new angle... Try one of Queenstown’s classic adrenaline activities – whitewater rafting. Relax at your lodge in the afternoon or walk around Queenstown’s sights. Day 10 Accommodation: Delamore Lodge Roundout your luxury tour of New Zealand with a morning tour of Lord of the Rings locations. This is a spectacularly beautiful area. In the afternoon, fly to Auckland on a scheduled airline, or charter on request, and take a helicopter to Delamore Lodge on Waiheke Island. Relax with a stone massage that night. Day 11 Accommodation: Your International Carrier On your last day of this eleven-day luxury tour of New Zealand, enjoy a wine tour of Waiheke Island and lunch at spectacular vineyard restaurant Te Whau.
